Williams Valve announces a $1.5 million dollar contract for the supply of globe and check valves for the Tambua Landana oil platform. The Chevron's compliant Tombua Landana platform is one of the world's largest offshore drilling and production platforms and is situated in Angola Block 14. The field covers approximately 425 kmē and in water ranging from 700 to 1600 feet deep.
At a cost of $1.27 billion, the Tambua-Landana platform will be able to handle 130,000 barrels of oil per day and take in 210 million cubic feet of gas per day. The facility contains a drilling platform, dry tree and subsea wells, and also gas-lift and water flood capabilities of 310,000-bpd. First oil is expected to in mid 2009. |
